Randi E. Zinberg is an Assistant Professor in both the Genetics and Genomic Sciences and Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science departments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She also serves as Director of the Master of Science Program in Genetic Counseling. Her work focuses on genetic counseling methodology, reproductive carrier screening (particularly in Ashkenazi Jewish populations), and the ethical/social impact of genomic technologies. She collaborates with Maternal-Fetal Medicine faculty on reproductive technologies and women's health outcomes.
Education: BS from Newcomb College, Tulane University; MS from Sarah Lawrence College and New York University.
Research interests include innovative teaching strategies for medical education, telehealth applications in genomic results disclosure, and recruitment strategies for diverse pediatric genomics studies. She has published in journals like Genetics in Medicine and Public Health Genomics, emphasizing health equity and community engagement.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine team and leads the Genetic Counseling education program at Mount Sinai.
