Zainab Al-Ibraheemi

Zainab Al-Ibraheemi, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She serves as a faculty member in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside, focusing on high-risk pregnancy care and research.

Dr. Al-Ibraheemi’s research emphasizes prediction and prevention of preterm birth, including interventions like cerclage and corticosteroids, as well as antenatal cell-free fetal DNA analysis. She also investigates labor induction methods, cervical ripening (e.g., Foley bulb), gestational diabetes treatments, and GBS cultures as predictors of intrapartum colonization.

She holds membership in professional societies including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (Junior Fellow), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopy.
