Eileen Hage is a research associate at the University of Rostock specializing in German literature education and inclusive teaching practices. She works in the BMBF-funded project 'Performance Makes School' (LemaS) for school development and talent promotion, and teaches courses including 'Learning with New Media' (Winter Semester 2022/23).
Her research focuses on historical learning in literature classes, Holocaust education materials, inclusive literature teaching methods, and literary writing. Hage has developed expertise in creating educational approaches that address classroom diversity while maintaining academic rigor, with particular attention to digital resources and extracurricular learning environments.
Hage's scholarly work demonstrates a consistent integration of historical awareness with contemporary educational practices. Her recent publications explore how digital platforms like YouTube can enhance historical learning in German classes and how to create inclusive educational spaces that accommodate diverse learners. Her research shows an evolving trajectory from historical concepts in literature to practical inclusive teaching methodologies.
