Eileen Epsaro is an Assistant Professor at Cedar Crest College's Department of Biology. She holds a B.S. in Biology from East Stroudsburg University and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University. Her professional background includes over 20 years of teaching experience and extensive clinical lab work. Prior to her academic career, she served as a medical technologist managing the microbiology department at St. Luke’s Hospital and conducted research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Epsaro is dedicated to innovative science education, having developed a 254-page laboratory manual for the BIO-127 course. She emphasizes hands-on learning through laboratory instruction and small-class engagement. A member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, she prioritizes mentorship, stating her goal is to 'have a lasting impact on [students'] lives and future careers.'
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes lifelong learning and passion for one's work, reflected in her statement: 'Do what you love, and love what you do.'
