Egon Tripodi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Hertie School in Berlin. His research bridges behavioral economics, public economics, and political economy, focusing on how incentives and social environments shape behavior through lab, field, and natural experiments.
- Education: PhD in Economics (2020, European University Institute), BSc in Finance (University of Rome, Tor Vergata), MSc in Economics (University of Rome, Tor Vergata).
- Previous Roles: JILAEE Postdoctoral Research Fellow (University of Chicago, Universidad del CEMA).
His research explores mechanisms driving prosocial behavior, mental health stigma, and political polarization. Recent work includes field experiments on blood donation incentives, retirement savings interventions, and self-persuasion in debates. Publications span behavioral economics, public health, and policy analysis, with a focus on experimental methodologies and cross-cultural insights.
