Edyta Cegielska

Edyta Cegielska is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Economic Sociology under the Collegium of Socio-Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics.

She earned her doctoral degree in 2012 from the Warsaw School of Economics, defending a dissertation titled "Mergers, acquisitions, divestments and tender offers in Poland" under the supervision of Professor Jerzy Nowakowski. She is affiliated with the Polish Association of Finance and Banking.

Her research focuses on startup financing, including mechanisms for sourcing funding, barriers to startup growth, and public support systems. Key areas include Business Angels, Venture Capital, Crowdfunding, and FinTech.
