Edwin Panford-Quainoo

Edwin Panford-Quainoo serves as a Tutor on the MSc Global Health programme at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine while pursuing his PhD in Global Health. An accomplished pharmacist with over 20 years of international experience across community, hospital, and industry settings in the UK, Australia, and Ghana, he founded CB Mentoring—a Cambridge-based charity empowering youth through student-led mentoring.

His educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy from DeMontfort University
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
• Master of Public Health from the University of Liverpool
• PhD in Global Health (in progress) at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

Research centers on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) stewardship in community pharmacy settings, with recent work exploring pharmacist roles in Accra, Ghana through focused ethnography. His partnership between the Faculty of Public Health (UK) and Ghana Public Health Association successfully implemented delayed/backup antibiotic prescribing for respiratory infections in Ghanaian hospitals.
