Edward Ruchalski serves as Director of Music and Assistant Professor of Music at Le Moyne College, teaching courses in Western music history, concept albums, music theory, and interdisciplinary subjects including "Neurons & Notes" (bridging music and neuroscience) and the freshman seminar "Hollers to Hip-hop." He directs the Rock Ensemble and advises students in the Music Minor program.

Ruchalski is an accomplished composer and sound artist whose works have been performed at prestigious venues including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center, Mass MOCA, and Symphony Space on Broadway. His creative practice spans experimental composition, multimedia installations, and radio art, with notable projects like the exhibition "Refined Localities" at Madrid's Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the radio show "Bells, Bugs, Whispers & Plinks" on WGXC 90.7 FM. His research integrates music composition with ecological sound studies and interdisciplinary collaborations.
As an advisor, he mentors students in the Music Minor program. His creative work has been commissioned by Bang on a Can All-Stars, Helen Boatwright, and Syracuse's Society for New Music, with recordings featured on Innova and Endeavor Classics labels. Significant projects include his two-year residency at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park resulting in "Pond Songs: Recordings and Photographs of Green Frogs and Aquatic Insects" and collaborations with institutions like Wave Farm.
