Dr Edward Lahiff is a Senior Lecturer in International Development at the Department of Food Business and Development, Cork University Business School, University College Cork. He serves as Co-Director of the BSc International Development program and actively contributes to academic governance as Chair of the UCC branch of the Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT) and a member of the UCC Governing Authority (2023-27).

Dr Lahiff’s research focuses on agriculture-nutrition linkages in Ethiopia, small-scale farming in Kenya, and social inclusion in Vietnam. His work addresses rural development, food security, and human rights in the global south, informed by over a decade of experience in southern Africa with rural NGOs and the University of the Western Cape.
