Edward J. Miller, MD, PhD is a Professor of Medicine and Radiology & Biomedical Imaging at Yale School of Medicine. Currently serving as Vice Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine (Education) and Director of the Nuclear Cardiology Lab at Yale-New Haven Hospital, he leads the Cardiology Fellowship Program while maintaining active research in infiltrative cardiomyopathies like cardiac sarcoidosis and amyloidosis.

His work integrates nuclear cardiac imaging with artificial intelligence to improve diagnosis accuracy and treatment response monitoring. Recent studies focus on AI-enhanced body composition analysis from CT scans, race/sex-specific epicardial fat thresholds, and HEART score automation using GPT-4 technology.
As a NIH/NHLBI K08 award recipient and Alpha Omega Alpha inductee, Dr. Miller has received multiple honors including the American College of Cardiology Fellowship and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology Fellowship. His military service includes two national awards from the United States Navy.
