Edvard Pogossian is a Professor of Cello at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), where he combines his academic role with an active international performance career. He has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Royal Northern Sinfonia, and Boston Pops, and guest-led cello sections in orchestras including the Oslo Philharmonic and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Research & Artistic Activity
Edvard’s work focuses on advanced cello performance, chamber music collaboration, and the promotion of Armenian musical heritage. His debut album Journey through Armenia (2022) features the world premiere of Tigran Hamasyan’s cello sonata.
