Dr. Edmée Ballif is a Swiss postdoctoral researcher specialising in reproductive sociology, medical anthropology, and public health. Currently affiliated with the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies (ISEK) at the University of Zurich , she investigates how health policies perpetuate social hierarchies through reproductive and parenting practices.

Her research combines qualitative methods and inductive research designs to analyze nutritional advice, reproductive imaginaries, and the social construction of "good parents." Notable projects include examining child veganism's intersection with gender norms and conducting cross-cultural studies on pregnancy care frameworks.
