Dr. Patricia Jäggi is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Zurich (Institute for Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies) and Senior Research Associate at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Her work bridges Sound Studies, Environmental Humanities, and Media Anthropology, focusing on auditory ethnography, multispecies interactions, and radiophonic cultures.
- Education: PhD (University of Basel, summa cum laude, 2017), MA (University of Bern/Zurich, 2012), BA (University of Bern, 2009)
- Key Projects: Principal Investigator for Claiming Folklore (SNSF 2022–2025), Seeking Birdscapes (SNSF 2019–2023), and Alpenrauschen (Open Access Book, 2019–2020)
Her research explores auditory dimensions of Swiss national identity, environmental sound art, and human-animal sonic relations. Publications analyze shortwave radio, ornithological fieldwork, and post-Anthropocene soundscapes.
