Edmund Pickering

Dr. Edmund Pickering is a Senior Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology, School of Mechanical, Medical & Process Engineering. He serves as a postdoctoral researcher in both the Biomechanics and Spine Research Group (BSRG) and the Biofabrication and Tissue Morphology (BTM) group, where he applies his expertise in mechanical engineering to biomedical challenges.

Edmund completed his PhD at Queensland University of Technology, preceded by a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and a Master of Engineering Management. His educational background has equipped him with a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering.

His research interests span spinal modeling, bone adaptation simulations, mechanical behavior of 3D printed stents, and mechanical characteristics of nanowires.
