Edmund Lau

Prof Edmund Lau is a Clinical Professor at the University of Sydney's Sydney Medical School, based in the Central Clinical School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. He holds a Senior Staff Specialist position at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and has a PhD in pulmonary vascular medicine from the University of Sydney. His postdoctoral research at the French National Referral Centre for Severe Pulmonary Hypertension focused on pulmonary vascular disease mechanisms.

His primary research focuses on pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), including epidemiological studies via the Australian and New Zealand Pulmonary Hypertension Registry, functional imaging of the right ventricle, exercise physiology, and novel therapies.
