Edith Heard

Edith Heard is a Professor at the Collège de France since 2012, holding the Chair in Epigenetics and Cellular Memory. She also serves as Head of the Genetics and Developmental Biology Unit and leads the Mammalian Developmental Epigenetics Team at the Institut Curie. Since 2019, she has been the Director General of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), an intergovernmental research organization involving 29 countries.
