Edita Fino

Edita Fino is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bologna. Previously, she served as a Research Fellow (2017–2022) in the Department of Diagnostic, Experimental, and Specialty Medicine (DIMES) at the same institution. She has extensive consultancy experience with international organizations including UNHCR (refugee mental health, 2017–2018) and IOM (2019–2021), and earlier served with UNMIK in Kosovo.

Her research investigates social, interpersonal, and inter-group processes affecting health and well-being outcomes. She specializes in vulnerable populations (refugees, migrants, patients) and professional groups (healthcare workers, medical students), with emphasis on stress, trauma, disease burden, and caregiving dynamics. Her work integrates psychosocial support frameworks in humanitarian contexts.
