Edeltraud Aspöck, a researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, specializes in mortuary archaeology, digital archaeology, and early medieval material culture. She leads interdisciplinary projects bridging archaeological theory and digital humanities.

Recent Publications focus on grave disturbance analysis across Europe and Egypt, digital preservation of archaeological data, and ontological modeling. Her work spans theoretical and methodological advancements in mortuary studies and computational archaeology.
