Ed Wall is Professor of Cities and Landscapes, Academic Portfolio Lead for Landscape Architecture and Urbanism, and co-lead of the Advanced Urban research group at the University of Greenwich. He holds additional positions as Visiting Professor at Polytechnic University Milan, Director of Project Studio, and was City of Vienna Visiting Professor at TU Vienna in 2017.
His research focuses on the intersection of public landscapes, spatial justice, and design experimentation. He has presented internationally at institutions including Harvard University, Columbia University, and the Architectural Association. Awards include the Graham Foundation Grant for research into global architectural practice.
He has authored several books including Contesting Public Spaces (2022) and edited publications such as Landscape Citizenships (2021). He founded and edits Testing-Ground: Journal of Landscapes, Cities and Territories.
As founding director of Project Studio, he has designed experimental projects exhibited internationally including The Valley Project and Roaming Forest, featured at venues like the Van Alen Institute and Royal Academy.
