Eavan Sinden

Eavan Sinden is a Clinical Lecturer at the School of Audiology & Speech Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist with specialized training in adult rehabilitation and aphasia care.

• Education: Graduated from University College Cork, Ireland; earned a Master's degree in Clinical Education from the University of Edinburgh.

Eavan's clinical work focuses on adult neurogenic communication disorders, particularly aphasia. She has developed programs and resources aligned with the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) and is trained in Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA™). She authored the communicatively accessible resource Your Life: Looking Back, Moving Forward, designed to help individuals with aphasia rediscover their identity through storytelling. Her recent experience includes roles at the Aphasia Institute in Toronto.
