Dzintra Stalmeisters

Dzintra Stalmeisters serves as Associate Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby's College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. Her research focuses on psychological dimensions of chronic health conditions, particularly Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and its relationship to early maladaptive schemas. Clinical interests include cognitive-behavioral approaches and schema therapy applications.

Research outputs examine psychological frameworks for understanding chronic fatigue, including single-case studies exploring schema patterns in ME/CFS patients. Co-authored 'Values and Ethics in CBT' (2017), establishing frameworks for ethical practice in cognitive behavioral therapy.
