Dr. Dwight Jilek serves as an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at North Dakota State University (NDSU), starting in Fall 2024. Previously, he held roles as Director of Choral Activities and Chair of the Music Department at Bemidji State University, where he conducted The Bemidji Choir, Bemidji Chamber Singers, and oversaw vocal music education programs. He is also Artistic Director of Magnum Chorum in Minneapolis, MN, leading the ensemble in high-profile performances and international tours.

Awards reflect his excellence in graduate conducting, including the Outstanding Graduate Conductor award from the University of North Texas.
Additional responsibilities include serving as Chorus Master for the Dallas Symphony Chorus and Opera conductor for productions like Speed Dating Tonight and Pirates of Penzance.
