Dustin M. Hoffman is Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in English at Winthrop University. He holds a Ph.D. in English/Creative Writing from Western Michigan University, M.F.A. from Bowling Green State University, and B.A. from Western Michigan University. His research focuses on working-class narratives and short story craft.
Hoffman authored the Prairie Schooner Book Prize-winning collection One Hundred-Knuckled Fist and other works including No Good for Digging. With over 90 published stories in journals like Black Warrior Review and One Story, he brings industry experience from his background as a house painter.
He maintains an active author platform with forthcoming readings and book launches scheduled through 2025, including events at Park Road Books and Austin Peay State University.
