Duncan Melville is the Martha E. '62 and Gregg E. Peterson Professor of Mathematics at Saint Lawrence University, specializing in the Department of Math, Computer Science, and Statistics. With over two decades of teaching experience, he bridges mathematics and historical studies as the Abstracts Editor for Historia Mathematica.
His research spans algebraic structures and historical analysis, including:

- Kac-Moody superalgebras
- Mesopotamian mathematics and Old Babylonian tablets
