Sylvia Vue

Sylvia Vue serves as Assistant Professor in the Performance and Communication Arts Department at St. Lawrence University, specializing in organizational communication with focus on communication rituals, power dynamics, and organizational change through intersectional lenses.

Dr. Vue's research examines how communication practices shape organizational power structures and impact marginalized populations, drawing directly from her professional experience in student affairs working with underrepresented student groups. Her interdisciplinary training bridges communication theory, mental health counseling, and design principles to analyze organizational dynamics holistically.

She teaches core communication courses including Public Speaking, Organizational Communication, and Professional Communication, integrating critical perspectives on power and ritual into curriculum design.
