Duncan Maguire is a Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia, and a Member of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. His research focuses on psychological mechanisms driving sustainable behavior in workplaces, emphasizing values, morals, and motivation. He specializes in mixed-method approaches, including interviews, surveys, and quasi-experiments, particularly in the context of 'employee green behaviours' and interdisciplinary sustainability studies.
Maguire collaborates with the Centre for Climate and Social Transformations (CAST) and explores topics like collective green behaviour, institutional logics, and organizational culture. He actively supervises PhD students researching sustainability transitions and people-centered approaches to environmental challenges. His recent publications address sustainability goal proximity, workplace behavior change strategies, and planetary citizen education.
He contributes to initiatives like UEA's Biodiversity and Climate Action Network (BCAN) and co-authored works on organizational change frameworks and fair energy transitions. His research bridges organizational psychology with climate action, emphasizing practical impacts through mindset shifts and community practices.
