Dr. Dulani Halvitigala is an Associate Professor and Program Manager for the Property Development, Investment and Valuation program at RMIT University's School of Property, Construction and Project Management. She holds a PhD from the University of Auckland, a Master’s from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Her teaching focuses on property valuation, sustainability, and corporate real estate.
Her research emphasizes real-world impact through interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing climate resilience, disaster recovery, and technology integration in property. Key grants include funding from AHURI, NHRA, and RICS. Dr. Halvitigala co-edits the Pacific Rim Property Research Journal and serves on the editorial board of Property Management Journal. She actively reviews for top-tier journals.
Her work spans over 30 publications, with recent focus on sustainable housing, gender diversity in valuations, and post-pandemic workplace design. She supervises projects on AI in aged care, flood-resilient retrofitting, and energy transition models. Dr. Halvitigala advocates for inclusive property practices and has contributed to policy frameworks for strata management and mining compensation in Ghana.
