Hera Antoniades is an Associate Professor at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), School of the Built Environment. Her primary academic focus is on Forensic Trust Accounting, Property Governance, and White Collar Crime within the property sector. She holds a PhD from RMIT University, a Master of Property Development from UTS, and a Master of Real Estate from the University of New South Wales.
Her research explores regulatory compliance mechanisms, occupational licensing reforms, and consumer protection strategies. Notable works include analyses of trust account fraud, coworking space impacts on traditional office models, and gender equity in property professions. She has authored influential textbooks on property taxation and accounting practices.
Dr. Antoniades actively contributes to industry leadership, serving as Conference Chair for the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society and Editor of Pacific Rim Property Research Journal. Her awards include the 2020 DAB Excellence Award and 2017 PRRES Achievement Award.
She leads funded research projects on property taxation and governance, including studies commissioned by the Australian Property Institute and Lannock Strata Finance. Her teaching spans advanced property taxation, forensic accounting, and built environment financial management.
