Duc Vo serves as a Senior Lecturer in Finance within the Department of Accounting and Finance at the UWA Business School, The University of Western Australia. He joined the institution in November 2021 after a 15-year career in Australian public sectors, including roles at the Australian Energy Regulator and Western Australia's Economic Regulation Authority where he served as Head of the Research & Modelling Branch.

Duc Vo's research spans household finance with gender-based analysis, financial literacy education, sustainable finance, and climate change economics. His work examines market volatility, spillover effects, and the dynamic networks of financial markets, with particular focus on energy economics. He applies these interests to real-world policy issues, having provided expert advice to the Ho Chi Minh City government on remittances and municipal bonds issuance.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong trajectory in interdisciplinary finance research, connecting political economy with financial market analysis, behavioral finance with commodity markets, and sustainability with corporate governance. The articles reveal increasing focus on geopolitical risk transmission, ESG integration, and crisis response mechanisms in financial systems.
Duc Vo teaches Business Analysis & Valuation, Financial Analysis for Decision Makers, and Funds Management courses.
