Dr Duc Do is a Lecturer in Banking and Finance at Bangor Business School, Bangor University, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses including International Banking, Applied Economics, and Databases in Business and Finance. He is also a module leader and personal tutor, actively involved in academic leadership and student supervision.
His research focuses on the intersection of banking, sustainable finance, climate change, and corporate behavior, using advanced data science methods such as dynamic web scraping and textual analysis. Key research themes include ESG disclosures, carbon pricing, bank risk-taking, corporate governance, and peer effects.
The recent publications show a strong trend toward empirical analysis of sustainability regulations, mandatory ESG reporting, and their financial and economic impacts, with a global and cross-sectoral perspective. His work frequently employs quasi-experimental designs like difference-in-differences to assess policy impacts.
