Prof. Dr. Dubravka Đurić is a full professor at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK) at Singidunum University, Serbia. Her academic work bridges media theory, literary theory, and fashion/consumer culture, with a focus on avant-garde movements and transnational literature.
- Graduated from the Department of General Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade
- Doctorate in English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad
Her research explores intersections between experimental poetry (20th–21st centuries), neo-avant-garde/post-avant-garde movements, and cultural discourse. She has published six monographs, including The Politics of Hope (2023) and Impossible Histories (2003, co-edited with Miško Šuvaković), analyzing globalization, media, and poetic innovation.
She has held significant roles such as president of the Serbian Association for Anglo-American Studies (2015–2022), founder/editor of ProFemina magazine, and editor of Mentalni prostor. She initiated the World Poetry Day commemoration in Belgrade’s Cultural Center (2001) and remains an active member of the Serbian Literary Society.
