معرفی
Gorana Raičević is a full professor at the Department of Serbian Literature within the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Novi Sad. She joined the institution in 1999, advancing from assistant to professor through academic ranks. Her educational background includes a degree in Serbian and Yugoslav Literature from the University of Novi Sad and a Master's in Literary Sciences from the University of Belgrade (1992). Prior to her academic career, she contributed to the Serbian Biographical Dictionary project at Matica Srpska (1991-1999).
Her research examines Serbian 20th-century literature through dual frameworks:
- Thematic analysis of eros, sacrifice, and individual-collective dynamics
- Period-focused studies of modernism and avant-garde movements
- Author-centric explorations of Miloš Crnjanski and Ivo Andrić's poetics
- Literary responses to historical events like World War I
- Identity formation in Yugoslav/Serbian contexts
- Contemporary theoretical applications to Serbian literature
She has taught specialized courses including Literature of Serbian Modernity, Poetics of Ivo Andrić, and Contemporary Literary Theories. Her publications (2014-2017) demonstrate consistent focus on Serbian modernist literature, avant-garde expressions, and critical analyses of canonical authors. These works frequently engage with themes of war, national identity, and ideological tensions in Balkan literature.
She has participated in significant research projects:
- Genres in Serbian literature – origin and poetics of forms (2000-2005)
- Synchronic and diachronic study of types in Serbian literature (2006-2010)
- Theoretical and historical review of comparative literature terminology (2006-2010)
- Aspects of identity formation in Serbian literature (2010-ongoing)
