Drew Hubbell is an Associate Professor of English at Susquehanna University, specializing in 19th-century British literature with a focus on British Romanticism. His research intersects environmental literature, climate change narratives, and the cultural implications of literary forms.

His scholarly work explores the relationship between literature and environmental discourse, analyzing how 19th-century British writers shaped Anglo-American perceptions of nature and politics through ecological rhetoric. He is currently investigating Lord Byron’s representation of urban nature in his manuscript Byron’s Nature: Toward a Cultural Ecology of Urbanature.
Hubbell contributes to academic service as Treasurer of the Nineteenth Century Studies Association and integrates sustainability into university programs. He leads student trips to the International Byron Student Conference in Greece and maintains an active lifestyle through triathlons, kayaking, and hiking.
