Douglas Osman

Douglas Osman is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Brian Lamb School of Communication, Purdue University. With an M.A. from Michigan State University (1988), he also studied at the University of Michigan and the University of South Florida. Osman's career spans independent documentary filmmaking and electronic media production, focusing on environmental storytelling and educational outreach via converged media.

He leads a community engagement grant initiative connecting Purdue students with educators and environmental naturalists to produce documentaries about the Lilly Nature Center in Indiana. Osman also advises Purdue’s Fast Track, a student-produced newsmagazine aired locally and on campus.
