Douglas L Adams

Dr. Douglas L Adams is an Assistant Professor with dual appointments in the School of Education and Environmental Sciences and Society programs at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside advanced degrees in Education, History, and Policy Studies.

His research focuses on intersections between environmental sustainability and education equity, particularly in rural contexts. Key interests include decolonizing curricula, community-based education models, and policy analysis for underserved populations. He has published in The Rural Educator and The Professional Educator, addressing topics like Act 31 compliance in Wisconsin schools and global decolonization frameworks.
