Kristen Pickett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Education. Her work focuses on neurological rehabilitation, gait analysis, and telehealth interventions for aging populations and individuals with Parkinson’s disease. She holds a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota (2010) and a BS in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville (2002).

Dr. Pickett collaborates with neurology, engineering, and public health teams to advance occupational therapy practices.
Recent work explores caregiver-patient dyads in exercise programs, autism-related motor challenges, and environmental adaptations for gait rehabilitation. Her publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to address mobility and participation barriers in clinical and community settings.
