Doug Derrick serves as Professor and Executive Director of the Analytics Solutions Center in Utah State University's Huntsman School of Business, Department of Data Analytics and Information Systems. His research explores human-agent collaboration, intelligent systems, and security applications.
Research focuses:
- Design of intelligent agents for decision support and threat detection
- Human-robot interaction dynamics and persuasive technology
- Security informatics and counterterrorism innovation analysis
- Behavioral analytics through multimodal sensing
Recent publications examine chatbot applications for security reporting, automated behavioral analysis, and social robotics. As Executive Director of the Analytics Solutions Center, he leads industry-academic partnerships developing practical data science solutions. Previously held positions include Air Force officer and program manager at MacAulay-Brown, Inc.
