Dr. Dorothy Marsil is a Professor and Program Coordinator in the Department of Psychological Science at Kennesaw State University (KSU). She has been with the university since 2005, focusing on experimental psychology with an emphasis on the intersection of psychology and law. Her academic background includes a PhD from the University of Kentucky (Cognitive/Social/Developmental Psychology), an MS from the University of Tennessee (Cognitive/Social), and a BA from the University of Tennessee (Psychology).
Her research addresses interpersonal violence prevention and intervention across developmental stages, particularly focusing on stalking, sexual assault, and trafficking. Collaborating with organizations like Georgia's Human Trafficking Task Force, she evaluates program effectiveness and contributes to public health initiatives.
