Dorothy Klotz is a Professor in the Information, Technology, and Operations department at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, where she has been a faculty member since 1990. She teaches Operations Management, Statistics, and Business Policy at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including in Fordham's Executive MBA program.

Her research focuses on Supply Chain Management, Buyer-Supplier Relationships, and Procurement Design, applying Game Theory to business decision-making. Recently, she has emphasized Classroom Pedagogy, with publications in the Journal of Innovative Education. She pioneered interactive learning tools adopted widely in academia and industry.
Professor Klotz gained national attention as the lead plaintiff in Title IX class-action lawsuits, forcing compliance in collegiate athletics. Her work was featured in the 2001 PBS documentary School: The Story of American Public Education. She also founded a New Jersey nonprofit to empower girls through sports leadership.
