Dorothea Wiesmann is a Researcher at IBM Research - Zurich, where she leads the Services Management Research group. Her work focuses on applying machine learning and predictive analytics to enhance IT service delivery and process optimization.

Her research spans workload characterization, performance prediction, and technology transfer, with prior work on thermo-mechanical data storage and planar waveguide technology. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and received the Daimler-Benz Foundation Fellowship in 1995.
