Prof. Dr. Doris Holzberger is a Professor of Psychology of Teaching and Learning at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), within the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology. Her research bridges educational psychology and empirical education research, focusing on learning dynamics, teacher development, and leveraging technology to enhance instructional quality. She holds a PhD from Goethe University Frankfurt (2013) and completed her habilitation at TUM in 2021. Prior roles include postdoctoral work at the State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research (Munich) and a visiting research position at Brown University (2018).
Her career highlights include leadership of the Research Synthesis Working Group at ZIB and contributions to projects like COSIMA. Key research interests span teacher self-efficacy, instructional quality, and the role of school context in education. Awards include the 2023 Prize for Interdisciplinary Research in Education and the 2021 Outstanding Reviewer Award from AERA.
