Dorian Peters

Dorian Peters is a Research Fellow in Design Engineering at Imperial College London and Visiting Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (LCFI) at the University of Cambridge. She holds affiliations with the Dyson School of Design Engineering and the Wellbeing Technologies Lab. Her work bridges technology and the humanities, focusing on participatory digital health, wellbeing-supportive technologies, and ethical AI applications in global health contexts.

Research Interests: Specializing in human-autonomy interaction, mental health technologies, and the wellbeing impact of AI. Her frameworks include the METUX model and 15 Wellbeing Supportive Design Heuristics. She advocates for context-sensitive, participatory design to address health disparities in the Global South while addressing model bias and power dynamics.

Labs & Collaborations: Founder of the Wellbeing Technologies Lab (University of Sydney) and collaborator with non-profits (e.g., Movember Foundation), corporations (Google, Atlassian), and institutions like IESO Digital Health. Her cross-disciplinary approach integrates engineering, social sciences, and humanities.
