Professor Donna Young is a faculty member at Albany Law School and an affiliated faculty member in the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University at Albany. She is an expert in feminist legal theory, critical race theory, and international labor and human rights law, with a strong focus on workplace sexual harassment and gender equity in employment.
Her research spans comparative labor law, law and development, and civil rights, with a particular emphasis on the legal frameworks governing sexual harassment under the 1964 Civil Rights Act. She teaches a course titled Gender and Work, which includes a dedicated unit on sexual harassment, and she actively engages students on current events related to gender-based discrimination.
Professor Young has been featured in multiple media outlets, including Spectrum News, News 10 ABC, and WCNY's Connect: NY, where she discusses the legal and societal implications of high-profile harassment cases.
