Dr. Donna Washburn is a faculty member at Evangel University's Behavioral and Social Sciences Department since 2000. She holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University (2015), a Master's in Social Work from Missouri State University, and graduated from Evangel's Social Work program in 1998. Currently serving as Director for the Center for Compassion, she teaches upper-level undergraduate social work/human services courses and graduate counseling courses.

Her research focuses on child abuse and neglect, adolescent behavioral functioning, and social advocacy within mental health. As department chair, she oversees programs spanning Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Social Work at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Professional strengths include clinical supervision, social work education, and program coordination. She has held leadership roles in Evangel University's Social Work program since 2001 and directs the Center for Compassion's initiatives.
