Donna Paparella is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Hunter College's School of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in Childhood Studies, 19th Century British and Transatlantic Literature and Culture, and Composition and Rhetoric.

Her research focuses on intersections between literary and legal discourses in 19th-century British and Transatlantic contexts, particularly examining representations of childhood in fiction and their influence on child law development.
