Donaldson F. Conserve

Donaldson F. Conserve is an Associate Professor in the Department of Prevention and Community Health at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University. His research focuses on implementing HIV prevention and treatment interventions, with a focus on HIV self-testing (HIVST) in sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti. He holds a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award from the NIH and has contributed to global initiatives like the HIV Self-Testing Africa (STAR) Initiative. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina.

Education:

• Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Queens College, CUNY (2009)
• M.S. and Ph.D. in Biobehavioral Health, Pennsylvania State University (2011, 2013)
• T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in HIV/STD Prevention, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2013–2016)

Research Interests: HIV/AIDS prevention, global health equity, implementation science, community-based interventions, and health policy. His work emphasizes scaling up HIVST and addressing intersectional stigma in marginalized populations, including Black men who have sex with men (MSM) in the U.S. and men in Tanzania/Haiti.
