Donald Story is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in Canadian governance, public policy, and political leadership. He has taught courses on Canadian governance (POLS 204.3), international relations (POLS 375.3), and nonprofit governance (POLS 329.3). His research focuses on Canadian political strategy, including the Avro Arrow program cancellation and Prime Minister John Diefenbaker's legacy. He has authored/co-authored books and journal articles on multilevel governance, defense policy, and political leadership.
Story has held roles as Director of the Canadian Soccer Association (2012-2014) and Chair of its Governance Committee. He is a member of professional organizations including the Canadian Political Science Association and the Canadian International Council.
Recognized for teaching excellence, he received the University of Saskatchewan Students' Union Award (2012) and two national medals (Saskatchewan Centennial Medal and Canada Confederation Medal). His research collaborations include projects with Russell Isinger on the Avro Arrow and Hans Michelmann on Canadian political leadership.
