Shannon Forrester is a Lecturer at the College of Kinesiology, University of Saskatchewan, and serves as a Sustainability Faculty Fellow. She teaches undergraduate courses in kinesiology and focuses on the intersection of physical activity, mental health, and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).

Her research spans three primary areas: youth health and development, healthy aging and chronic condition management, and pedagogical innovation through SoTL. Recent work explores mental health disclosures in academia, physical activity interventions for cognitive function, and stroke rehabilitation via motor cortex activation.
Key publications address stroke recovery mechanisms, physical activity impacts on anxiety, and classroom strategies for student engagement. Current funding supports the Instructor Mental Illness Disclosures in Post-Secondary Classrooms project through the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning.
