Dr. Carly Priebe is a Lecturer in the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan and a USASK EDI Faculty Fellow. She holds a PhD in Kinesiology (Vanier Scholar), MSc (Thesis Award Winner), and BSc (Honours) from the University of Saskatchewan. Her academic background includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Population Physical Activity Lab, University of British Columbia, and certifications as a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP) and National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified coach and developer.

Her research focuses on health behavior change, program evaluation, social psychology, and health communication. Key areas include evaluating interventions like the Public Health Agency of Canada-funded Run to Quit program (focusing on smoking cessation through running) and incorporating UN Sustainability Development Goals into teaching and research (e.g., built environment and sustainable physical activity). She emphasizes equity, collaboration, and critical thinking in teaching, covering courses from functional physiology to social behavioral foundations of physical activity.
Her recent publications (2020–2023) highlight work on green/blue space analysis for health equity, smoking cessation through exercise identity shifts, and pandemic-era physical activity impacts. Awards include the Vanier Scholarship and University of Saskatchewan Thesis Award.
