Donald Marks, Psy.D., is an Associate Professor at Kean University's College of Health Professions and Human Services. Specializing in clinical health psychology, he focuses on psychological interventions for chronic pain, athlete mental health, and family systems dealing with medical illness. Dr. Marks trained at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
His research spans mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), descriptive contextualism, and psychological discourses in distress. Dr. Marks teaches courses including Biological Bases of Behavior, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Dissertation Seminar. He has served as president of the ACBS Greater New York chapter since 2005.
